Digital Wallet Terms and Conditions
Terms for Using Your STAR OF TEXAS CREDIT UNION Card with a Digital Wallet
These Terms for Adding Your Star of Texas Credit Union Card with a Digital Wallet (referred to as the “Terms”) become applicable when you opt to include a Star of Texas Credit Union credit or debit card (“Star of Texas Credit Union Card”) into a Digital Wallet (“Wallet”). Throughout these Terms, “you” and “your” denote the cardholder of the Star of Texas Credit Union Card, while “we,” “us,” “our,” and “Star of Texas Credit Union” refer to the issuer of your Star of Texas Credit Union Card.
By adding a Star of Texas Credit Union Card to the Wallet, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
1. Adding Your Star of Texas Credit Union Card: You may add an eligible Star of Texas Credit Union Card to the Wallet by following the instructions provided by the Wallet provider. Only Star of Texas Credit Union Cards explicitly designated as eligible can be added. In cases where your Star of Texas Credit Union Card or associated account is not in good standing, it will not be eligible for enrollment in the Wallet. The Wallet facilitates the use of the Star of Texas Credit Union Card for transactions at locations where the Wallet is accepted, which may not be universal.
2. Your Star of Texas Credit Union Card Terms Do Not Change: The terms and conditions governing your Star of Texas Credit Union Card remain unchanged upon its addition to the Wallet. The Wallet serves as an alternative method for making purchases with the Star of Texas Credit Union Card. Any applicable interest, fees, and charges related to your Star of Texas Credit Union Card are also applicable when using the Wallet. Star of Texas Credit Union does not impose additional fees for adding or using the Star of Texas Credit Union Card in the Wallet. Fees may be charged by the Wallet provider and other third parties.
3. Star of Texas Credit Union’s Limited Responsibility for the Wallet: Star of Texas Credit Union is not the provider of the Wallet service and is not responsible for its provision. Our responsibility is solely to securely provide information to the Wallet provider to enable Star of Texas Credit Union Card usage in the Wallet. We bear no responsibility for any Wallet failure or the inability to use it for transactions, nor for the performance of the Wallet provider or other third parties involved in agreements impacting Wallet use.
4. Electronic Communication and Email Contact: By agreeing to these Terms, you consent to receiving electronic communications and disclosures related to your Star of Texas Credit Union Card and the Wallet. Communication may occur via email, including contact from service providers acting on our behalf. You commit to updating your contact information promptly.
5. Removal of Star of Texas Credit Union Card from the Wallet: Procedures for removing a Star of Texas Credit Union Card from the Wallet should be sought from the Wallet provider. Additionally, Star of Texas Credit Union reserves the right to block a Star of Texas Credit Union Card in the Wallet at any time.
6. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution: These Terms are subject to federal law and, where applicable, the state laws governing your Star of Texas Credit Union Card agreement. Disputes related to these Terms will be subject to dispute resolution procedures outlined in your Star of Texas Credit Union Card agreement.
7. Termination, Modification, or Assignment of Terms: Star of Texas Credit Union holds the right to terminate, modify, or amend these Terms at its discretion. Notice will be provided as required by law. While you cannot alter these terms, you may terminate them by removing all Star of Texas Credit Union Cards from the Wallet. Assignment of these Terms is not allowed.
8. Privacy: Your privacy and the security of your information are important to us. Our Privacy Notice (located here: https://www.staroftexascu.org/privacy-policy/) applies to your use of your Star of Texas Credit Union Card in the Wallet. You agree that we may share your information with the Wallet provider, a payment network, and others in order to provide the services you have requested, to make information available to you about your Star of Texas Credit Union Card transactions, and to improve our ability to offer these services. This information helps us to add your Star of Texas Credit Union Card to the Wallet and to maintain the Wallet. We do not control the privacy and security of your information that may be held by the Wallet provider and that is governed by the privacy policy given to you by the Wallet provider.
9. Notices: Notices regarding these Terms and Star of Texas Credit Union Card usage in the Wallet may be provided through our website, electronic mailboxes, email addresses, telephone numbers, or the address on file. You can contact us at (800) 258-3228.
