At Star of Texas Credit Union, we’re committed to providing a welcoming and seamless banking experience for our members. To further support your financial needs, we’ve upgraded our core banking system to a new and improved platform.

What You Need to Do

 

Meet the new Star of Texas Credit Union App! Download it from your preferred store:

Existing members need to enroll in the new online banking platform before they can log in. Please review the instructions below carefully.

After September 2, the current mobile app will no longer work. Old login information will NOT carry over. Members will need to:

  1. Download our new mobile banking app by searching for “Star of Texas CU” on the App Store or Google Play Store.

  2. Enroll in the new online banking platform with your member account number, PIN (last 4 digits of your SSN), and full SSN or ITIN.

  3. Create new login credentials

  4. Log in again and select a verification method

  5. Enter the verification code and access the account dashboard

  6. Enroll in new CheckFree Bill Pay

Important Changes

Please note that transactions prior to September 2nd WILL NOT appear in the new online and mobile banking system. Your transaction history in the new system will begin building from September 2nd forward.

Star of Texas Credit Union can still access your complete transaction history! If you are wanting to access any prior transactions, give us a call and we can help you.

e-statements & august statements

Members who were previously enrolled in e-statements do not need to re-enroll. Your existing e-statement preferences will carry over to the new system.

The August statement will be generated as a paper statement and mailed to all members, regardless of if you were previously enrolled in e-statements.

Beginning October 1, statements will return to each member’s original delivery preference. Members previously enrolled in e-statements will begin receiving their statements electronically through the new system.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Why are you upgrading your systems?

We’re investing in newer technology to provide better security, improved reliability, and an enhanced banking experience for our members.

 

Will I need a new mobile banking app?

Yes, you will need to download our new Mobile Banking App after the conversion. We’ll provide download links and instructions before launch.

 

Will my username or password change?

Yes, you will need to create a new password or complete a first-time login. We’ll provide step-by-step instructions before the conversion.

 

I can’t see my previous account history. Where did it go?

Account transaction history prior to September 2 is not available within the new Online Banking or Mobile Banking platform. If you need information regarding a transaction prior to September 2, we can assist.

 

what about my august statement?

The August 31 statement will be generated and mailed to members as a paper statement, regardless of previous eStatement enrollment. If you not receive it, please let us know and we can provide an electronic copy as well.

 

do i need to re-enroll in e-statements?

No. Members do not need to re-enroll in eStatements. Members previously enrolled will resume receiving their statements electronically as normal.

 

Are Card Controls available in the new Mobile App?

Card Controls are not currently available in the Mobile Banking app. Additional features will continue to be added over the coming months as we upgrade and expand our systems.

 

Is Mobile Deposit available?

Yes! Mobile Deposit has been fully implemented within the new Mobile Banking app.

 

Are there additional features available on a computer?

Yes. Members who log into Virtual Branch, our new Online Banking platform, from a laptop or desktop computer will have access to additional customization options. For example, members can rename or nickname accounts to make them easier to identify and organize.

 

What happened to my recurring transfers?

Any recurring or automatic account-to-account transfers that were previously established will need to be set up again. Members can easily establish new recurring transfers through the Mobile Banking app or Online Banking.

 

What about automatic loan payments coming from another financial institution?

If you previously had an automated loan payment or ACH origination established to pull funds from another financial institution, you will need to visit our branch to make a loan payment.

 

Will my debit card continue to work?

Your debit card will be on standby until Thursday, September 3rd.

 

Will my direct deposit continue?

Yes, Direct Deposits will continue as normal.

 

Will my automatic payments continue?

Most automatic payments and scheduled transactions will continue without interruption. If any issue comes up, please contact us.

 

How long will services be unavailable?

Temporary service interruptions are expected during the conversion weekend. We’ll publish exact dates and times as they become available.
